Strong Points

Three-year starter, has excellent size with long arms and solid strength and power. Physical run blocker who looks to finish. Keeps his feet moving on contact and gets movement. Can get to second level. Good ability to adjust on the move and play in space. Good pass blocker who has a strong punch, can use his hands and mirror opponents. Anchors versus bull rush. Stays on his feet.

Weak Points

May not have the lateral agility and range to play left tackle at the next level. Needs to firm up his body.

The Way We See It

A fourth-year junior and a three-year starter. A consistent player at left tackle for Michigan State. He is big, strong and physical. Consistent run and pass blocker and a top competitor. Plays an aggressive brand of football. Punishing run blocker who looks to finish. Sets quickly in pass protection and does a good job mirroring opponents and anchoring. Overall, like most rookies he will most likely start off on the right side. While he can play left tackle in the NFL, he may find a home at right tackle and be a 10-year fixture. I have no doubt he will be a winning player at the next level.
