Strong Points

Very good size, long arms. Good athlete with quickness, agility and balance. Stays on his feet and has good short-area speed. Very strong and explosive. Has good instincts, finds the ball and makes plays in the run game. Well coached, can use his hands and shed. Very good competitor.

Weak Points

Does not get much pass rush production as far as sacks but does get pressures. Has to be an inside player.

The Way We See It

Former junior college transfer who is a two-year starter for Alabama. Lines up at both nose tackle and defensive tackle. Usually plays inside but will get some snaps at the 5-technique. He is big, strong and powerful and a very good run-down player. He is quick to find the ball, has good anticipation and makes plays in the run game. Lacks the speed, top quickness and burst to be a top pass rusher but he can provide inside pressure. The type that is good at pushing the pocket. Can play in a 3- or 4-man front and will start as a rookie. Unless he develops his pass-rush technique, he will be limited to being a run-down player.
